P0404 EGR valve isn't where it should be
P0404 means: EGR valve isn't where it should be. The engine computer can't control the EGR valve properly, or doesn't trust its position sensor. OK to drive, but have it checked soon. The repair usually costs about €80–500 in Estonia. The most common cause: valve clogged with soot.
What it means
The engine computer can't control the EGR valve properly, or doesn't trust its position sensor. The valve is sticking or moving slowly. Often it is clogged with soot.
