Questions
Where do I get the fault code?
The diagnostic port is usually under the steering wheel. A Bluetooth code reader costs €15–40 and works with your phone. Or bring the car to us and we'll read the codes for you.
Does the engine light mean I can't drive?
If the yellow light is simply on, you can usually keep driving calmly and have the car checked soon. If the light is flashing, the engine is misfiring. Then drive slowly and stop the car as soon as you safely can.
Can I just clear the code?
You can clear it, but that doesn't fix the fault. The code will soon come back, and the annual inspection can see when codes were recently cleared.
How accurate is this information?
The code meanings are standard. Causes and prices come from our workshop experience. Based on AI combined with our hands-on workshop experience and knowledge. The same code can mean different things on different cars, so only an inspection of the car gives a definite answer.
